Senior Cloud Engineer (Remote, US)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Senior Cloud Engineer will play a key role in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions for our clients.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud computing technologies, as well as a proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions that meet business objectives and drive success in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture: Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs and requirements of our clients, leveraging leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.


• Deployment & Orchestration: Develop and implement deployment and orchestration solutions using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, or AWS Elastic Beanstalk to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications in the cloud.


• Security & Compliance: Implement robust security controls and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud infrastructure and applications, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.


• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Google Cloud Monitoring to proactively monitor the health, performance, and cost of cloud infrastructure and applications, and optimize resource utilization and costs.


• Collaboration & Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps engineers, and solution architects, to design and implement end-to-end solutions that meet client requirements and drive business value. Share knowledge and best practices with team members through documentation, training, and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions.


• Deep expertise in cloud computing technologies, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices, using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.


• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or AWS Elastic Beanstalk.


• Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in the cloud, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
